Today HuCASDEVI joined Mrs Mavis Boakye-Konadu in celebrating her birthday with children at the Beacon House Ghana orphanage at Mensah Bar on the Dodowa Road in the Greater Accra Region of the Republic of Ghana. HuCASDEVI team made a familiarisation visit to the orphanage 9 days ago, where the needs of the home was made known to them. HuCASDEVI exhibited their readiness to support the home by giving them a cheque to support the education of 20 children.
It’s very important to support the cause of orphans and see to their well being. It is for this reason that HuCASDEVI has as one of its objectives the support for orphanages/foster homes. This year Beacon House Ghana has been selected to receive the support from us.
The organisation was happy to join hands and heart with Mrs Mavis Boakye-Konadu in celebrating her birthday and donating to the orphanage.
The children were so happy seeing the team that included Ezekiel Doku and Kwadwo Konadu from HuCASDEVI and Mrs Mavis Boakye-Konadu and Barbara Boakye her sister. After pleasantries and introduction from us and the team at BHG which included Patricia, Rebecca, Cyril, Sheun and others, there was cutting of cake and popping of champagne.
Mr. Kwadwo Konadu spoke to the children encouraging them to not look down upon themselves but get the best out of them to build their society.
Items presented to them included medicine, toilet roll, tomato paste, clothes, Christian literature for children, sanitary pad, body cream and lotion, books, bread, sponge, toothbrush and tooth paste, cleaning detergents and bleach. The orphanage was also given money.
God bless all individuals who supported today’s donation. You can also come on board to support this great cause.
HOLIDAY AND FUN TIME WITH BEACON HOUSE
Thinking about the well being and fulfilling the needs of the needy especially orphans, abused kids, foster kids, special needs children bring so much joy and fulfilment. For this very reason Human Capital and Social Development International (HuCASDEVI) holds in high esteem the needs of the aforementioned. One of its 4 objectives is supporting orphanages or foster homes for year before moving on to another one. This very objective was put to full implementation yesterday during the holiday in Ghana for the Eid celebration. HuCASDEVI together with three individuals who also have the needs of the needy at heart visited Beacon House; the selected orphanage for 2018.
The organisation received two boxes full of children clothing, shoes and toys from a UK based Pastor and his wife to support its activities. Catherine (UK), OP and Thelma from Ghana also came with donation to support the children. It was amazing. Games were played with the children and it was so fun. You can start a cloth bank in your church, work place or community if you’re outside to support us in helping deprived community and selected orphanages/fosters home.
