Two of Hucasdevi Ghana’s objectives
Two of Hucasdevi Ghana’s objectives are community development and youth skills acquisition and development. Last year Hucasdevi Ghana after a partnership with Leoron Professional Training Institute to sink and donate a mechanised boreholed water to Ayenya 1 community in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, the two organisations also decided to help develop the community and help the youth. After several discussions last year with the community leaders and representatives from the two organisations; Hucasdevi Ghana and Leoron, it was decided that the community will be developed into an ECO modelled village to become a hub for tourist.
The community is going to get a factory to manufacture flower pots. A trainer from the Volta Region of Ghana, Mr. Stephen Bonni of the Peace and Unity Ceramic Project has been contracted to train selected youth who will return to train other youth within the community.
After their training the factory will be built in Ayenya where the youth will be manufacturing flower pots and other potteries.
On Monday, January 15, 2018 Mr. Kwadwo Konadu and Ezekiel Doku representing Hucasdevi Ghana and Leoron together with Mr. Bonni met community leaders and the selected trainees to finalised the training arrangement and also to enable Mr. Bonni conduct feasibility study of the community.
He also met the training to have conversation with them before their departure from Ayenya to the Volta Region to commence their training this month. Continue to follow this story.
